Request Access to Take FERPA Test

In order to take the FERPA Test, you will need to request access to BlackBoard. Complete the form below and click the Request Access button. Please allow 1 to 3 business days for access to be granted.

You only need to take the FERPA Quiz if your are EMPLOYED by the University of Missouri AND your job at the University requires you to view student inforamtion.

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act requires that anyone with access to student records (which includes, but is not limited to class enrollments) must understand and abide by the law concerning how information is released and to whom. Prior to receiving security access to student information on myZou, individuals must pass a FERPA test, verifying a working knowledge of the law.

You only need to take the FERPA Quiz if your are EMPLOYED by the University of Missouri AND your job at the University requires you to view student information.

The FERPA quiz is located in BlackBoard. You MUST request access to the FERPA Quiz via the FERPA Tutorial Request Form to be added to the FERPA Tutorial Course in BlackBoard.

If you have BlackBoard access, you still MUST request access to the FERPA Tutorial.

Once you have been granted access to the FERPA Tutorial in BlackBoard, you will be sent an email notification. Once you receive the notification, you can then log in to BlackBoard and the FERPA Tutorial will show up in you Course List.
